Before you start

Use a laptop or desktop with Chrome, Edge or Firefox if you can. Phones work for most roles, but roles with strict integrity mode need a computer.

Find a quiet place and use headphones if you have them. Close other apps that use the microphone (Zoom, Teams, WhatsApp calls).

Run the sound check on the interview page. When the bars move as you speak, Ona can hear you.

Ona can't hear me

Click the microphone or lock icon in the address bar and make sure the site is allowed to use the microphone, and that the right microphone is selected.

Check that your microphone isn't muted on your headset or keyboard, then reload the page.

On a Mac: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → allow your browser. On Windows: Settings → Privacy & security → Microphone.

I can't hear Ona

Turn up the volume and check the right speaker or headset is selected. If you see a “Tap to hear Ona” button, press it — some browsers block sound until you click.

My camera doesn't work

Allow the camera from the icon in the address bar, close other apps using it, then reload. If the role doesn't require a camera, you can continue with voice only.

The call dropped

Press “Rejoin the call” — what you already said is saved. If that fails, you can continue by typing, or press “Finish interview”. If you closed the page, open your interview link again.

If you can't continue at all, reply to your booking email or contact the company you applied to and ask for a new time.

I need to change the time

Open your interview link before the start time and use “Reschedule” or “Cancel”.

Text instead of voice

If you can't use a microphone, choose “Type your answers instead” on the interview page.
